The Race Against Kids' Cancer is a 7+ year partnership between Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing and The Morgan Adams Foundation which is poised to top a total of $1,000,000 raised for pediatric brain cancer research in 2018. RMVR chose to do something for its community and found a natural partner in MAF which has long had other car-centric events and is well known in the auto enthusiast community in the Rocky Mountain region. MAF's mission of funding early stage research targeting pediatric brain cancers was one RMVR members were eager to support and look forward each year to hosting the RAKC which is often its largest race of the year and certainly its most exciting.
I am very excited to be driving in this event. MAF and RMVR have combined to make a real difference in the lives of many, many children and young adults. By providing the funds for on-going research, RMVR and its donor partners are contributing to the successes MAF is having in in developing treatments for kids not only here on the Front Range, but around the world. I hope you will give generously to this worthwhile endeavor by clicking the donate button nearby.
You don't have to be a race car driver to see what all of the racing fun is about. RAKC features lunch rides on the race track in race, sports and exotic cars where spectators can make a donation to MAF and get a ride with a qualified car & driver to see what it's like to be out there. There's no bigger thrill for the dollar than these rides and you'll know that the donation you made for this ride will go to funding pediatric neurooncology research - a win/win!
So you can come for the racing; come to see the ProAm; come for the lunch rides; come for the Saturday party or the band; come for the excitement and friends you'll see and make there, but be sure to come on August 4th and 5th! You'll be glad you did and even happier to know that you're helping sick kids and their families find some hope.
